• This comfortable nasal cushion is completely custom and replaceable to increase patient comfort.  These cushions can be heated and molded to fit each individual patient’s nose. This is particularly beneficial for patients with altered or abnormal nasal anatomy (broken noses, etc.)
• This mask also comes with the StabilitySelector, an exclusive Respironics feature that raises and lowers the mask at the bridge of the nose to ensure optimized angle, seal, and fit. Also, the ball-and-socket Quick Clips allow for free movement and easy mask removal.

Concerns

• Although the Stability Selector technology is a great feature, there have been some patient concerns about the plastic housing cracking. The breaks usually occur when patients tighten the straps too tightly which causes excessive stress on the plastic housing.

• The headgear for this mask is also an added patient convenience. The comfortable, supporting straps fit on the top of the head which allows for no pressure points or marks on the face.

Concerns

• The only disadvantage to this headgear is the possibility of the mask coming off the head if the patient moves around too much during sleep. Also, the hose connection for this mask occurs above the head which side sleepers will appreciate as no tubing will get tangled up as they try to fall asleep.

Profile Lite Nasal CPAP Mask

• The Profile Lite nasal CPAP mask was first introduced by Respironics as the industries first Nasal Gel Mask. 
• The Profile Lite comes in seven different sizes to ensure proper patient fit!
• Also, this mask, like the Comfort Gel, can be customized to mold against a patient’s facial contours.

Concerns

• Unfortunately, this mask doesn’t come with the StabilitySelector to increase or decrease the fit angle and the cushions are not replaceable.

Comfort Classic Nasal CPAP Mask

Benefits

• The Respironics Comfort Classic is a basic nasal CPAP mask designed to fit 75% of the population.
• Although an innovator when it came out over eight years ago, the Comfort Classic CPAP mask usually works well for patients with lower CPAP pressures.

Concerns

• Respironics does not offer any replacement nasal CPAP cushions for this mask. Also, the forehead support (T bar) is one piece and can not be changed to raise or lower the mask angle.
